1.1.36. Installation of winter tyres and chains
At movement on snow and ice it is recommended to establish winter tyres and chains. At movement on wet or dry road, coupling of winter tyres is worse, than at the usual. Type and design of established winter tyres should correspond to type and a design of the tyres established on the car. Installation of winter tyres In order to avoid non-uniformity of coupling of wheels with road and losses of controllability of the car winter tyres should be established on all wheels. The removed tyres store in a cool dry place. At installation of tyres keep the order of their shift accepted earlier. The prevention Chains on forward wheels should as it is possible to adjoin to the tyre more densely. It is forbidden to dress chains on back wheels. After advancement on 0,5 – 1 km tighten chains. Security measures The maximum speed of movement with chains of 50 km/hour (or there should correspond established by the manufacturer of chains, depending on what speed more low). At movement avoid sharp turns and arrivals on potholes, emission of the car from a track otherwise is possible. Safety measures for cast aluminium disks Throughout run of the first 1600 km check an inhaling of nuts of wheels. After shift or wheel replacement check an inhaling of nuts of wheels throughout 1600 km of run after wheel removal. At using chains be careful not to damage disks. Nuts of fastening of disks should be firm, tighten nuts only a key intended for aluminium disks. At wheel balancing use only firm грузики (or equivalent) which fasten a rubber or plastic hammer.
