The quantity of belts of a drive depends on a car complete set. Belts have клиновидное section and are used for a drive of the generator, the hydraulic booster of a wheel, the pump of a cooling liquid and the conditioner. One belt can be used for a drive of several units.

Open a cowl and check up fingers a condition of belts from two parties, overwinding belts (fig. Characteristic kinds of deterioration клиновидных belts see).

Check up a belt tension on deflection size in the middle between pulleys (fig. Check of a tension of a belt see). If distance centre to centre pulleys of 180-280 mm the deflection has to be 6 mm, and at distance centre to centre 300–400 mm the deflection should be 13 mm.

Adjustment
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The belt is regulated by moving of the corresponding unit to arm grooves (if the belt is connected to two units one of these units moves also).
2. Unit moving is provided with an adjusting bolt concerning an axis. These bolts it is necessary to weaken and displace the unit. On a part of cars tension adjustment is provided with rotation of an adjusting bolt after отпускания a lock bolt.
3. Having released bolts, displace the unit in the necessary party, having pulled or having released a belt, tighten bolts, check up a tension, and if the belt is adjusted correctly, bolts tighten.

Replacement

For belt replacement execute the same preliminary procedures, as for adjustment then remove a belt from pulleys. All belts are recommended to be changed simultaneously. Before removal designate each belt and a corresponding pulley.

At acquisition compare a new belt to the replaced.

After run of first several hundreds kilometres check up a belt tension.
