3.2.17. An intermediate shaft (only engine M20)
THE GENERAL DATA

This shaft is intended for a drive of the oil pump.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a gear belt.
2. Turn away bolts of a gear wheel of a shaft and bolts of a forward cover.
3. Remove the platen of a drive of the oil pump (subsection 3.1.15 see).
4. The intermediate shaft fastens to the block a flange with 2 bolts. Turn away these bolts and get a shaft.
5. At detection of deterioration of rubbing surfaces of a shaft pierce a shaft in car-care centre. Especially attentively examine a back part of a shaft which it adjoins to the platen of a drive of the oil pump.
